OP&R : Be Prepared

Be Prepared

Community and Personal Preparedness is one of our priority projects. This priority project focuses on preparedness activities for the public and at risk populations. Maryland has a very diverse population and this project allows DHMH to reach out to at risk populations such as the children, the elderly, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals in the community.

Bee Prepared

On September 18, 2008, DHMH held the Bee Prepared Event to celebrate National Preparedness Month. DHMH, OP&R, local health departments, Department of Aging, Department of Disabilities, Behavioral Health Disaster Services, Maryland General Hospital, and the American Red Cross participated in the event. All state employees were invited to the event to learn about emergency preparedness and to become more prepared.
